I cannot rate Jim Thurber from Restoration Solutions high enough (I wish there were 100 stars I could give). We had a major flood throughout our entire house. We were extremely unhappy with the restoration company recommended by our insurance, we looked at many restoration companies that did not impress us, and luckily were finally given a referral to Restoration Solutions. Jim assessed our somewhat difficult project and gave us ideas for solutions that other companies did not. He was involved and proactive about every step of the project. Jim was in constant contact with us regarding everything going on, if we ever needed him he was easy to reach (day, night, even on weekends). All of the workers who came to our home were professional, responsible, and respectful of our home. Every stage of the project happened on time (or ahead of schedule). Jim made everything seem easy, even though other companies we talked to made everything seem so difficult. Our home restoration turned out better that we could have ever imagined, and we really credit Jim Thurber and Restoration Solutions for making this possible. If you have the need for restoration services, I would highly recommend working with Jim at Restoration Solutions. Professional, reliable, and absolutely beautiful work. A home run!

Kevin came out to evaluate water damage from a water pipe leak in a bathroom ceiling. He spent a fair amount of time looking for residual water and inspected the area thoroughly. He was prompt and courteous and provided fair and honest advice. He even took a bit off the stated consult fee since he didn't need to be here long. I was impressed that he didn't try to force a bunch of unneeded repairs on me just to get some work.

We had a slab leak which resulted in quite a bit of damage to our flooring and carpeting. Jim Thurber, from Restoration Solutions, provided a competitive quote and was able to start work the following week. The flooring we chose to replace our damaged flooring was on back order. Once the flooring was in stock, the RS team started work a couple of days later and finished a day earlier than planned. The quality of the work is excellent and the construction personnel completing the work were professional, friendly and very hard working. We highly recommend Restoration Solutions!

I have waited a while to write this review for this company, because the owner Tooraj threatened my family and our home. I originally hired this company to be the general contractor for my parents house in San Diego. They had a small pipe burst in the bathroom, so we need the walls to be cut, redone, kitchen needed to be redone, and the floors. They strung us along for 4 months, nothing was repaired in the house and our insurance demanded that the company get in touch with them since we were living in another rental at the time. After 6 months, they installed cabinets that were bent, weren't mounted on the wall and the worst possible quality we had every seen. The floors were still undone, the texture of our walls was so bad they had to make corrections for twice. The cabinets were falling apart after just one month use and Tooraj came to our home threatening my parents to pay when our insurance had already paid them. We stopped working with them immdiately, when we realized that everything they did was shotty work. Our kitchen countertops were not properly positioned on the cabinets. The borders for our oven and microwave were improperly measured so they wouldnt fit. Save your time, money, value of your house and NEVER seek professional help from this company. I have also reported them to the BBB. Tooraj is a sexist, unprofessional, illegitimate businessman, and a liar.

I can't speak highly enough of Jim Thurber (project manager) and his entire team of subcontractors at helping my wife and I turn a very frustrating situation (pipe leak/water damage in kitchen) to something really awesome, a fully remodeled kitchen. Jim is a very friendly guy who is great to talk to and gets the job done. Firstly, I had a bad experience with a previous plumbing contractor, and Jim and his team have restored my faith in finding quality and honest contractors to work with. I will definitely be keeping his contact information for any future projects that my wife and I want to have done. I was referred to Restoration Solutions through my homeowner's insurance (AAA) when I started my water damage claim. Jim came out and performed his estimate and was very upfront and honest with me about everything. We were initially just going to repaint and replace the damaged cabinets and have them all painted. After a lot of thought and consideration, my wife and I wanted to seize the moment and just remodel the entire kitchen, especially since the remaining, undamaged cabinets would still be 30 years old on the inside and not match the rest of the new cabinets. It obviously cost more to remodel the whole kitchen, but this was just one of those situations where it was completely worth the extra money. Able and his team (demo, paint, and drywall) did an awesome job. Alex and his team (cabinets and trim) did an awesome job. Jaime and DJ (countertops) did an awesome job. Mark (the electrician) did an awesome job. (Don't remember the plumber's names) but they did an awesome job. Jim's timeline for the entire project was pretty spot on, within a few days of targeted date. As I said earlier, he was very upfront and honest about everything, so my wife and I knew exactly what to expect. All of the subcontractors were extremely respectful and considerate of my wife and I's schedules and working from home on certain days. Jim's pricing was very reasonable and competitive to other quotes I received and we are incredibly happy with the final results. Thank you Jim and the rest of the team from Restoration Solutions.
