Rapid Response Remediation

Poor craftsmanship to say the least. Project manager or the main contractor hard to tell who’s who since they never show up when they say they will… but neither came on site during or after work was “completed” Many issues that have been brought to their attention with no resolution and this project started in July. Caulking under plinth blocks mind you it’s free floating floor(manufacturer says this voids warranty) also caulking near door jams due to poor flooring installation which when brought to their attention they just used a different colored caulk to try to hide it. The quarter round caulked together because poor cut angles, quarter round terminations straight cut instead of 22.5 (like the rest of the house… so incompetent they don’t know how to use their two eyes to match the existing) also not stained just left bare, quarter round loose in many places, missed nails. Caulk smudges everywhere, paint drops everywhere, trim above fridge was installed backwards, broke a granite countertop due to carelessness and replaced it with inferior replacement with jagged cuts filled with caulk that doesn’t match the other countertop. Replaced custom cabinets with inferior crap from a box store had to call multiple times to get their sub contractor out to paint them to at least match existing cabinets. Used ugly grey plastic floor outlet covers instead of the original brass covers. Original custom cabinet doors reinstalled with drywall screws instead of pan head which caused a gross misalignment which was then poorly fixed by their subcontractor. The door trim which was removed during remediation was reinstalled by gooping it together with caulk, not even smoothed out just gooped. Posting videos and pictures of what they think is a “job well done” when it’s absolute trash mind you without permission from homeowner of their private space. This was an insurance claim and many of the things insurance covered and paid for were not done and what was, is the absolute worst work I’ve ever seen.

A pipe burst, and there was some flooding, and I didn’t know whether we needed to call somebody. We tried to clean it ourselves and dry it with a shop vac, but even after we dried the top, it was getting wet again, and we later learned that that meant that it was Coming up from the bottom the carpet pad was soaked. So we called Rapid Restoration and Remediation because we knew there were good reviews and happy customers. I called at an odd hour late in the day on a weekday, and they were at my house in 40 minutes. They were very professional and asked for no money upfront for days. They worked tirelessly even on Sunday. Cookie and very quickly brought dehumidifiers and moved our things into boxes and storage, and secured our precious house. Through the whole process whenever we needed anything out of storage or needed them to take care of something house related or things related to our belongings, including kids, clothes and other things that we didn’t think about packing, they were available at almost all hours and did things Retrieve things to keep us comfortable. We’re still in the process of the restoration part, but the insurance company told me that they are very straightforward and fair with their estimates. Their professionalism is second to none and I don’t think we would use another company.
