Paul Davis Restoration of San Antonio

We had an AC issue where the condensation pan dumped its contents somehow into our ceiling. We filed a claim with our insurance company and they sent out Paul Davis for Mitigation work. To be fair...when their crew first came out they took measurements and gave us some timelines but did not really mitigate anything. Confused, we asked our insurer who told us that they should have been met there by our adjuster who would have given them the okay to start - so not Paul Davis' fault but the insurers'. On Thursday Rene and Antwon showed up and immediately began taping off the area and worked together to cut and remove the all the wet drywall. They kept me informed of every step of their progress and what they were doing and why they were doing it. The cleaned up after themselves and even grabbed a snow shovel to remove the crazy amount of blown in insulation so that the fans would not make a bigger mess. They then bagged up the trash and took it back to their vehicles. Rene was boasting how he got in early so he got some piece of equipment that had wheels and they both were relieved by that fact. Both Rene and Antwon set up fans, blowers, and a dehumidifier in our living room with a giant 6 ft x 8 ft hole in our ceiling. They also got on ladders and sprayed some chemical on the lumber to resist mold growth. Rene made some comment that usually someone from their repair side would have been in contact with us regarding an estimate for repair work but that did not happen. Rene told me that he would be by Friday morning at 9:30am to check the equipment and the moisture remaining in the wood. While they did tell me a lot about the process, they didn't tell me that those fans would force down the hot air in our attic which caused our in house temperature to get up to 90 degrees. We got through that night thankful that it dropped down to 75 degrees outside so our AC could cool the house down enough that we could sleep. The next morning, I explained to Rene what was happening. He turned off the two fans blowing directly into the attic and said that the moisture readings were a little above where they like them so he said the dehumifier and the blower would remain on overnight and he'd be back at 8:30 am Saturday morning. Leaving those two big fans off made the house tolerable and sleep was easier. The next morning Josh came over and took his readings. Again...he did was Rene and Antwon did and kept me informed about everything that he was doing and why he was doing it. He said our reading was good so he was going to remove their equipment. After he removed the fans and blower, he then took the time to take his ladder and some plastic to cover the hole that was made. Overall the three echnicians did exactly what they were supposed to do, they were pleasant, knowledgeable, and incredibly good to have work on our home. Oh and their estimator called us a little more than a week later while the repair crew that we found on our own was fixing the hole in our ceiling. He apparently did not realize that we did not want to wait weeks to have a huge hole in our ceiling fixed quickly. I would certainly rehire these guys for mitigation work. They did everything that needed to be done, were incredibly efficient and pleasant.

The Paul Davis Restoration of San Antonio Water Mitigation team were beyond excellent. Mark was the manager in charge and was not only a great communicator with us by also worked with our insurance to ensure that all aspects of the water damage and demo were done correctly and helped us understand the process. His team Brian & Randy were exceptional and the first ones to come in to assess. They were professional and also great communicators. His clean up team offered us some hope as our home floors & walls are waiting for reconstruction. Tonya Brown and her team were also just outstanding and made sure our furniture was packed with care and taken to storage while we put our home back together after a sudden foundation water leak. We may not have a normal Christmas but the kindness & good work Mark, Tonya, Brian, Randy and entire staff have made things hopeful as we move through this process. Thanks again!

We hired Paul Davis after discovering a leak in our master bath that was dripping to our formal living below. Was very impressed with their initial visit, inspection, detailed proposal and communication with our insurance company. While we were having to fix this issue we went ahead and decided to do a full bathroom remodel outside the initial scope of work with our insurance claim. While we did have some hiccups that invariably come along with a remodel, the important thing is they made sure the job the was completed and done right. They ended up roping in a new project manager for us, James, who did an amazing job of taking control of the project midway and ensuring that everything was fixed, and finished beautifully. James was on top of everything and we felt like we could relax knowing it would be done right. What matters most to me is a company that will work hard to make sure the customer is happy and more importantly that the job is done right. Paul Davis did just that. We had a water leak in our rental home and used Paul Davis to dry out and reconstruct areas that were damaged. They were very kind and kept us updated throughout.
