FDP Mold Remediation of Miami

Warning – Dishonest, Unprofessional, and Costly Mistake I originally contacted Rapid Cleaning and Restoration to inspect my Miami property for duct cleaning, mold remediation, and AC-related issues. They sent a technician named Todd, who performed a visual assessment instead of the mold test I had requested. During the visit, Todd offered to perform the work. I reasonably believed he was still operating under or affiliated with this company. Later, I learned Todd took on the work independently, though he still works for the company—hence this review is meant to bring awareness to this matter. Todd quoted $5,000 for the job plus $437 for sealant. Separately, I accidentally overpaid $1,000 via Zelle ($6,437 total), which he never acknowledged or returned despite proof of the transactions. The work was unorganized, incomplete, and misrepresented. The invoice included “AC replacement,” yet after the job my entire AC system failed, including the condenser, which multiple professionals confirmed was overworked due to undersized 8” flex ducting installed by Todd. This ducting allowed only 180–200 CFMs, while the system requires 600 CFMs. The ductwork now needs complete replacement with rigid materials. Todd repeatedly misdiagnosed the problem—blaming the thermostat, Freon, or my tenant—and then stopped responding, leaving a hole in the wall where he removed a fixture. I had to house my tenant in a hotel, pay $3,225 out of pocket to correct the damages, and lost the warranty he had promised. Attempts to resolve the issue were met with hostility and false claims from Todd instead of accountability. I initially left a positive review because I was told the job was complete while managing this remotely. At the time, I reasonably believed Todd was performing the work on behalf of this company. In reality, the work Todd performed independently—despite still being associated with the company—has cost me thousands in damages, repairs, and emotional stress. My review reflects these facts as I understand them.

Todd and his team were incredibly fast and quick to respond to an urgent mold situation we had. I would highly recommend his team. They were also fairly priced.
