Never. Ever. Ever. Yes this company. The water remediation and demolition was fine. Great even. But then on repairs everything was and is miserable. A year later we are having to redo the floor ourselves because they didn’t let the wood acclimate to the house before install causing bubbles and buckling in multiple places. a year later and of course too late for them to do anything about. And even before that they wanted to be done with the job with a fallen sink. Cracked granite and all sorts of other issues. We would have been better off if no repair had been done. Now we are repairing things they “fixed”.

Theresa Holmes came out to my home from American Water Damage to provide an estimate, and she was absolutely wonderful. She was thorough in explaining the entire process, patient with all of my questions, and very professional while still being warm and personable. I truly appreciated how she took the time to make sure I understood each step and what to expect. Theresa is an excellent representative of the company, and her expertise and demeanor immediately put me at ease. I would gladly recommend her and AWD to anyone needing remediation services.

Michael worked with us on some pretty extensive damage and advised on how to proceed and I don't think we could have asked for a better advocate. He was true to his word, but the thing I appreciate most is he was always willing to talk to my wife and I to help us understand and feel more confident about the insurance process. Ultimately everything worked out in terms of coverage and we are happy with the result! If you're calling this company obviously you're in a difficult situation but working with Michael made things a lot less stressful.

My daughters house had a broken kitchen pipe that caused a lot of damage. AWD was referred by the plumber and was on site within hours. My daughter was on bed rest in her 7th month of pregnancy, I tried to mitigate everything for her from Chicago with her home in Dallas. They did a good job and had to dismantle everything in part of the kitchen, it was done in a very professional manner and cleaned up very well. We did have a couple hiccups with the amount that the insurance company wanted to pay and their requests. I had to escalate up to Michael Mcdowel and he helped to get information to the insurance company and tried to get the last of the bills cleared up. As well as educate us on everything that was being done. He was very professional, never got over zealous, was compassionate and took the time to talk with me on the phone to try to help my daughter and through the process. In the end he was very understanding. Customer service is so lacking these days. I can't say I am a big fan of their Central Corporate Office. But the Team in the Dallas office took care of us in the end.

American Water Damage of DFW did an excellent job after a water leak caused major damage in our home. Their team arrived quickly, assessed the situation, and got the water removed and drying equipment set up right away. They checked moisture levels daily, explained what they were doing, and made sure everything was completely dry before wrapping up. The whole process felt organized and professional from start to finish. I also want to specifically recognize Savannah. She was a huge help throughout the insurance process — coordinating between us, the adjuster, and the company to make sure everything was handled properly. She communicated clearly, helped us understand our options, and worked with everyone to reach a fair and balanced resolution. Overall, American Water Damage of DFW was reliable, responsive, and easy to work with during a really stressful situation. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone needing fast and professional water removal or restoration work.
